What is American International Academy of the ANDES?
We are registered as a private independent online K–12 academy in the state of Colorado, USA. We maintain our student records, transcripts, diplomas, and apostille services through our Colorado administrative office.

All academic programming is delivered online, with live teacher support, weekly advising, and ongoing progress monitoring.

Is AIAA accredited?

Accreditation & Recognition

American International Academy of the Andes (AIAANDES) is a private, independent online K–12 academyregistered in the state of Colorado, USA. We maintain full academic records, transcripts, and diploma services in accordance with U.S. private school standards.

AIAANDES is accredited for grades K–12 through the National Private Schools Accreditation Group (NPSAG). This accreditation confirms that our curriculum, instructional practices, student support systems, and recordkeeping processes meet established expectations for private schools in the United States. Our current accreditation term extends through 2026.

AIAANDES maintains official transcripts and academic records, but cannot guarantee that any school, university, or government agency outside of the NPSAG network will accept transfer credits or recognize a diploma, as recognition policies vary by institution and jurisdiction. Families are responsible for confirming local or institutional requirements.

Guided Learning Pathway(Online K–8)

Students complete their learning program through online curriculum with the support of certified teachers. Students meet weekly with their advising teacher and may participate in small-group classes, tutorials, clubs, and enrichment activities. Full-time and part-time course enrollment options are available.

School-of-Record Pathway (K–8)

The School-of-Record Pathway is designed for families who are using their own curriculum or a curriculum of their choice, and who would like AIAANDES to provide academic oversight and official recordkeeping.

In this pathway:

Documentation for grade-level completion

Students meet regularly with an AIAANDES advising teacher to review progress and ensure that academic goals and state requirements are being met.

This pathway allows families to maintain flexibility and personalization in their learning while ensuring that students have a stable academic record that can transfer smoothly to schools, universities, or government verification processes when needed.

High School at AIAANDES (Grades 9–12)

AIAANDES offers a flexible, internationally minded online high school program with weekly advising, progress monitoring, and personalized four-year planning. Students receive guidance in course selection, graduation requirements, and post-secondary options.

Diploma Pathways

AIAANDES offers three diploma options. All students remain enrolled with AIAANDES as their school of record, where transcripts and long-term academic planning are maintained.

1. AIAANDES Homeschool Diploma (English)

Students complete an AIAANDES-approved high school program in English under the guidance of My Andes Coach. Academic requirements may be fulfilled through AIAANDES courses and/or other approved instructional resources while meeting AIAANDES graduation requirements. Students may personalize their high school experience through approved electives, independent studies, passion projects, internships, entrepreneurship, volunteer service, or other individualized learning experiences approved by AIAANDES.

2. Dual Diploma Pathway

Students complete both the graduation requirements for the AIAANDES U.S. High School Diploma and those of an accredited U.S. online high school. AIAANDES coordinates academic planning and provides ongoing guidance through My Andes Coach. Diplomas Awarded:

• AIAANDES U.S. High School Diploma

• Regionally Accredited U.S. High School Diploma

(Regionally Accredited school issues its own diploma directly.)

3. Diploma de Educación Secundaria (Spanish)

A Spanish-language pathway with 1:1 coursework, advising, and graduation support. Ideal for students who wish to pursue independent study on topics not available in a traditional school.

Course Planning & Advising

Every high school student is assigned a My Andes Coach who provides ongoing academic advising, graduation planning, and individualized support. Students meet regularly with their coach to monitor progress, adjust pacing, select courses and electives, and prepare for college, career, or other post-secondary goals. Individualized two- to four-year academic plans are developed in collaboration with each family.

Transfer & Recognition

AIAANDES maintains all academic records and official transcripts.

Because recognition policies vary, AIAANDES cannot guarantee that any school, university, or government agency will accept credits or a diploma.

Families are responsible for confirming local or institutional requirements. AIAANDES provides documentation as needed for transfers or homologación.
What are AIAANDES' Graduation Requirements?

To support high-quality learning and future opportunities, AIAANDES graduation requirements are aligned with the core academic expectations commonly used in Colorado . We also include a College & Career Pathway requirement so students can explore interests and set goals for life after high school.

1-to-1 Spanish-language coursework + individualized advising (students must complete a minimum of two years of instruction at AIAANDES to graduate–transfer students considered on a case by case basis)
